We take instructional time very seriously at Pierce, and have a number of policies in place to preserve this precious time.
Pierce Start Times
Students are to be in class by 8:27 a.m.. Doors open at 7:50 a.m., and students are encouraged to arrive no later than 8:20, so they have time to go to their locker, get their supplies, and be in class by 8:27. Three tardies to first hour is equivalent to one absence. Tardies are only excused with a doctor’s note.
There is a message board located outside the front office. Remind your children to check the message board regularly to see if there are messages from home. We will not call or visit classrooms to deliver messages, unless it is an emergency.
Student Pickup Procedures
Student pickup will stop at 2:55. If a parent is not at Pierce to pick up student by 2:55, dismissal will have to wait until 3:05.
Students are not called from class for an early dismissal until parent is in the office and ID is verified. This is for the safety of your children.
Before school - Monday - Friday - 7:50 - 8:20
After school - Monday, Wednesday, & Thursday - 3:15 - 4:15 (late bus is provided for students who normally ride the bus)

A message from Mrs. Hofer and Mr. Latour:
Students - Remember that you represent Pierce in all that you do. Whether you are walking home, or picking up siblings from the elementary, your behavior should be top-notch. If you pick up siblings from the elementary, be sure to wait in the area the school has for you (for example, at Fisher you should wait across the street). If you do not have a sibling at the elementary, you should not be waiting. Always remember to be respectful, quiet and polite.
If interested in purchasing a yearbook, please pick up an order form in the front office.
The PTO is looking for officers for next year. Please consider volunteering to be part of the PTO Board. Nominations for PTO officers will take place at the March meeting, and elections will take place in April.
