Pierce Academic Institute – for students who love to learn!

The PAI, a rigorous high school preparatory program, was founded in order to advance the education of our students through a high-quality public education middle school.  It is the aim of the faculty at Pierce to impart to our students a solid educational background that will positively affect their lives in and out of the classroom. The PAI will challenge high-performing students daily.

A quality education at Pierce begins with the fundamentals of Math, Science, Social Studies, and Language Arts. This has been the key to academic success at Pierce since 1950 and will remain as the stronghold of our core values. The PAI hosts a complete series of classes in these core academic areas that will prepare our students for the corresponding Honors/Advanced Placement (AP) courses at Thurston High School. Students will have the opportunity to earn high school credit while in middle school, and will be on track to earn college credits while taking high school classes, without tuition fees!

Applications for the 2015-2016 PAI are available and can be downloaded by clicking the link below. Also, they can be picked up from the front office of counseling office. All applications are due by Thursday, May 7, 2015.  Contact the school for additional information.
